What it means to be a part of a preventative dental program is that all of our efforts with our work is collaborative between the dentists, patients and dental staff to absolutely make sure that the preservation of your oral health is taken care of so that we can overall help the patients prevent any type of dental diseases or conditions that can occur over long periods of time. General Dentistry is very important to keeping up with health in general.
From the patient’s standpoint that means that preventing any type of dental disease starts from how you take care of yourself at home through a balanced diet and good oral hygiene. When you come to the dental office we are only continuing your efforts and making sure that we are doing our very best to make sure that your mouth stays as healthy as possible.
Part of what we do for prevention includes just regular dental checkups, x-rays for all of our patients and regular cleanings. Also things like fluoride and other sealants are used to help protect your teeth for the long term.
Prevention is always going to be the best way to avoid any type of serious dental issue that could really cost patients a lot of money, and of course prevention helps maintain healthy, confident smiles.
